Most of the "marketing research" involves asking the market about their needs and wants and then writing a business plan to fill those needs and wants.
The problem with this approach is that we are asking the wrong people! The answer lies not with the market, but in you ? the entrepreneur, the business owner. If Thomas Edison had asked the market what they thought of a light bulb, they would have laughed at him!
The market, the masses, can never foresee the innovation that a single human being can. It?s the entrepreneurs? job to dive deep within themselves and tell the world what their company can do for them.
So when you answer the question, ?What Business am I In?? what you really need to be answering is: ?What is it that my business does that no one can do as well - in my town, my state, my region, my country or even in the world??
